It's been a while.....

Yes, it has been quite a while since I posted here! have been pretty busy with weddings and birthdays and not had much chance to play with new techniques but hoping to tackle more chocolate work and also pulled and blown sugar.
My college classes have come to an end as Eddie Spence MBE, our tutor, has had to reduce his workload due to a health scare - well he is 82 now, so I suppose he should be taking it a bit easier!

On a different note, I am thinking of offering  ready made strips of cake lace for sale, for those that want to try something new on their home baking. If you think you might be interested, drop me an email at occasionalcakesbybarb@gmail.com

At last- this company has been told so many times that their glitter is not edible, but they just get rude and threatening when challenged on it (from personal experience) I am glad that they have finally been made to see the error of their ways! ( and that name...not designed to mislead?? really???? oooh...look ...flying piggy.......)

Getting quite a few wedding bookings for 2014, people seemed to be avoiding 2013 for weddings and had more birthday cakes instead! I've had 30th, 40th, 50th (x2) 60th (x3) and a 90th (ordered from Australia!)

New start

Well, I managed to lose access to my original blog when my laptop threw a tantrum! now I'm attempting to create another, with more hints, tips and ideas.
